Survival hinges on three non-negotiable tools, each balanced with distinct trade-offs:
The Empty Freddy Fazbear Head: Your universal line FNAF 2 of defense against the majority of approaching threats. Wearing the mask fools animatronics into registering you as a fellow machine. However, equipping the mask completely cuts off camera monitoring and flashlight usage while narrowing your field of vision.
The Flashlight & Vent Lights: The office is outfitted with a central hallway light and two lateral vent blind-spot buttons. The central flashlight resets specific aggressive timers (most critically Withered Foxy), while vent lights reveal intruders poised to enter the office. Flashlight battery power is finite—prolonged use will leave you completely defenseless in late-night shifts.
The Monitor & Prize Corner (CAM 11): The camera interface features a dozen monitoring rooms, but in high-level play, CAM 11 is the only room that matters. The mechanical Music Box in the Prize Corner continuously winds down; allowing its gauge to reach zero releases the Puppet, ending your run with a 100% lethal, unblockable jumpscare.
